elegant house in Ericeira's historical center

The elegant townhouse is located in Ericeira’s historical center in a quiet residential area. The cobblestone street, where the house is located has very little traffic. Two beaches (North beach and Fisherman beach) are just a couple of minutes walk away. Food stores, bakeries, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, clubs and several more beaches are within short walking distance. The property comprises a recently refurbished 2 story house with sea view roof terrace.

The house has 2 floors and a nice sea-view roof terrace. The ground floor has an open area combining kitchen, dining area and living room. A comfortable sofa and 2 puffs invite to relax after a day on the beach. For your entertainment you have a flat screen TV with cable channels, CD and DVD player and WiFi internet. Also located in the ground floor is a double bed room with en suite bathroom. The marble staircase leads onto the first floor with 2 bedrooms, one with 2 twin beds the other with a bunkbed sharing one further bathroom. Each room has a little terrace facing west, with sun from lunchtime until sunset. From here the stairway leads you up to the sun terrace, equipped with wooden outdoor furniture, umbrella and barbeque. Enjoy the nice sea view all day long and sunsets invite for al fresco dining. The house is decorated with original artwork, including fused glass lamps and mirror frames as well as several oil paintings.

"When I arrived at Adora, I was stressed out and tired from a recent viral infection. Ten days later, I finished Ironman Cascais. What happened in between, was the best experience in my life. It started with a smooth ride from Lisbon airport with Batao, a friend of Herwig's, who didn’t complain about my heavy luggage which included my race bike. It went on with a most pleasant welcome drink with Herwig who made sure in person that I arrived well. I will never forget how much I enjoyed the cold beer in the fridge – the first sip of beer I had in months. Not to mention the clean, quiet and spacious apartment with a roof top where I spent hours sleeping, listening to soft music and watching the sea. Loaded with energy, I quickly returned to my usual performance levels. Thank you, Herwig: without your generous hospitality, I wouldn't have recovered in time for my biggest event of the year! "

"This is the third time I have stayed at Adora with friends and family. The location cannot be beat - perfect if you want a quiet traditional/historic neighborhood experience very close to the beach. We love breakfasts and night-caps on the terrace, and listening to the waves crash gently in the distance while we sleep with the windows cracked open. Adora reminds me of the old Ericeira of my youth that becomes more rare every time I return for a visit. And Herwig is a dependable and helpful host every time. "

"The apartment ist located in the beautiful center of this fisher village with many local people. Tourists are moreless surfers... We had a 2 Minutes walk to get best restaurants, bakery and fresh market place. On top, some surfer beaches as well as the family beach are near by and can be reached in some minutes by walk. We enjoyed the sunsets on the roof terrace every evening. The weather was perfect: warm but not hot as of the wind - in the evening you need a sweater. Thanks to Herwig for helping to get good surf lessons and shuttle service."

"Thank you Herwig for all your advice, and for providing a super house. The location of Adora is excellent as it is a short walk to the town plaza where you will find plenty of good restaurants, shops and cafes. The house has a lovely balcony with a sea view which we used at various times of the day to eat or relax on. The house is clean, comfortable and has everything you need, including WiFi. Also the surfing lessons provided were excellent. The lessons were in small groups which makes a real difference. We hope to come back and stay again!"

"We loved this location, the service & of coarse the people. The neighborhood was so welcoming to us we feel like we lived in Ericeira as part of the community. Herwig is excellent at his job & always there to help us with surfing, wet suites, rides & great advice. We had a family BBQ with him & friends we met from surfing with them all. "We have spend Christmas and New Year time in Townhouse in Ericeira. The location of house was perfect, in middle of old town, near of all you need. There was good space for 5 adults and one small child. House itself was really elegant, modern interior in old building with glass works and fascinating paintings. All equipment was working well - first little bit cold because weather was poor, but electric heating was working. May be best in this Townhause is location. You are living middle of normal life, neighbours are typical Ericeira people, not only tourist. There was also only some steps to nice morning coffee bakery Das Marias on the bank of Ocean. All food markets, restaurants and beaches are very near. And you can hear every time waves of Ocean, very comforting. Ericeira itself is nice city, not too small but not too big. We like very much the atmosphere of the town and Portuguese life style with lot of great fish restaurants and cafes. "

"Ericeira is where I spent my childhood summers in the 70s and early 80s. For this holiday, I wanted to return to that relaxed village atmosphere. I was so pleased to find it at "Adora"! The location of this house is perfect - so close to the beach, and in the middle of the old historic neighborhood with quiet narrow streets and friendly local residents. The house itself is comfortable for 5 adults and completely up to date. Herwig was a pleasure to work with and gave us the support we needed whenever we asked. I will return at my next opportunity!"
